He has been primarily engaged in the incorporation of new areas of professional practice, and the opening and startup of Posadas offices.
In addition to his internal work at the Firm, he has specialized in Administration, Accounting and Taxes and has assisted local and international clients on various business operations they are interested in conducting in the country.
His vast experience in Tax Law has enabled him to take part in important investment transactions and operations in Uruguay.
Prior to joining Posadas, Mr. Obes served as Assistant Director of the General Accountancy Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Uruguay.

- Degree in Economics and Business Administration – Universidad de la República – Uruguay.
- Chartered Accountant – Universidad de la República – Uruguay.
- Postgraduate Degree – University of Harvard – USA.
